1943: “Capt. James Read stowed away his dragging gear off his Claxton H and headed for his fish camp at St. John’s Harbour, Millbank Sound, where, with Mrs. Read, they have operated their camp for a number of years. They are buying for the Canadian Fishing Col Ltd. (WF April 1943: 10)
